Ayrshire Alps ‘Friendly’ Sportives

Date & Location

Kirkmichael, Ayrshire

Organiser’s Description

Two rides across the Ayrshire Alps Cycle Park, a challenging but hugely scenic route starting and finishing in Kirkmichael. The 'friendly' aim of the ride is to bring riders together in a social environment, and to showcase the beauty and challenge of the Ayrshire Alps! A 100km route heads West to the climb of Blackie’s Brae, crosses back via Glenginnet and the slopes of Glenalla, on to the big daddy ‘Nic O Balloch’. The shallow slopes of Tairlaw Shalloch are rewarded with a 5mile descent towards Straiton, before the final categorised climb of Largs. A 60km route skips the climbs of Glenginnet, Glenalla and Largs.
