Barrowburn Blast

Barrow Burn, Northumberland

Unnamed Road, Morpeth NE65 7BP, UK

Sun 18th October 2015

Organiser's Description

A new, short and sharp, off-road duathlon, to be followed in 2016 by a full off-road duathlon series. An amazing route in the rural wilderness of the Northumberland National Park. A 2mile run will start nice and flat before heading straight up the side of a hill! You then climb on your mountain bike (or cyclo cross) and hit some of the best tracks and trails the area has to offer, including the now infamous 'Trows to Windy Gyle' killer climb. All this before finally taking on 'the big one', which is a run of only 2.5 miles - but let’s just say there's nothing horizontal about it…
