Organiser’s Description

This event is open to participants of all levels, both runners and walkers are catered for and are very welcome. This challenging 22 mile(ish) route takes in three tough, classic ascents and offers full panoramic views of Derwent Water as you complete a full circuit of the Lake. Your first ascent is Cat Bells, from where you descend and make your way to Rosthwaite. Another steep ascent awaits as you head up to Dock Tarn, a beautifully isolated spot. After passing Watendleth you will head to Surprise View (and it lives up to its name) before dropping to the famous beauty spot at Ashness Bridge. Another climb up to Walla Crag will bring yet more stunning views.
