Dymchurch Marathon Double

Dymchurch, Kent

68-70 High St, Dymchurch, Romney Marsh TN29 0NL, UK

Sat 23rd January 2016

Organiser's Description

We love to bring you flat, mud free, navigation free, trouble free marathons and we've found another course in the seaside town of Dymchurch. The newly reinforced sea wall is wide, flat, offers views of the sea and a seaside town in Winter, (which if we're honest, isn't that exciting - there's a good reason that runners have dubbed this event "Grimchurch") but it's well known for excellent fish and chip shops. This route runs past the town, on the sea wall, along the coastal path and past several old coastal defence towers. It's all concrete, so its pretty tough on the legs, but it is fast, flat, there's no mud and there are PBs to be gained. Two marathons, January 23/24.
