Great Bristol Half Marathon

Date & Location

Organiser’s Description

This event, the most recent addition to the Great Run Series, comes with its own distinguished history. First staged in 1989, and known as the Bristol Half Marathon, the city centre run has become a tradition in the national running calendar. Over 10,000 runners every year make this a must-do event, with an atmosphere second to none. The scenic sea-level course starts and finishes in Bristol's historic Harbourside, taking runners out and back through the stunning Avon Gorge, around the old city, and twice under Brunel’s famous Clifton Suspension Bridge.
