Organiser's Description

The Barnes Fitness Harwell Half Marathon is our first longer distance event, and if we say so ourselves, it’s a bit special! The multi-terrain run starts and finishes at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus site near Didcot, home of the sparkling Diamond sychrotron radiation facility. The route starts off flat and then gently undulates along footpaths, bridleways, and tracks up onto the Ridgeway National Path, from where you can enjoy some stunning views of the rolling Oxfordshire countryside. Altogether a better way to spend a Bank Holiday Monday!

Friendly atmosphere. This was my first half marathon and to my surprise, I enjoyed it so much! I put much of that down to the great course, the community spirit and the efficient organisation. The marshalls encouraged me to the end :)
Thanks for taking the time to write a review Annabelle - really pleased you enjoyed it, and hope it is the start of many more half marathons (& maybe marathons?!?!) to come!
