The Jurassicman Extreme Triathlon starts in Budleigh Salterton and ends in Lulworth Cove.
With over 8600ft of climb on the bike and 3675ft along the coast path run section, this is not an event for the faint hearted.
Includes a sea swim, hilly point to point cycle and a tough coastal path run to the finish in Lulworth Cove.

What's Included
Brutal Events will take care of all the logistics of this point-to-point triathlon and your camping for the night before and the night of the event is included in the entry fee.
We drop you and your bike at the swim start and your run kit will be waiting for you at the end of the bike leg. We then transport you and your bike back to the campsite at the end of the event.
All you need to do is concentrate on trying to finish this very challenging triathlon!

Race Hq
The event HQ and campsite is based in Charmouth and you will be transferred from here to the start point in Budleigh Salterton for the 2.4 mile sea swim. The epic 112 mile bike course goes all the way to Swanage in Dorset. And finally, the 26 mile run route follows the Dorset Coast Path (last section of the ONER) to Lulworth Cove.
All athletes will be given GPS trackers for this event.
the Swim
The 2.4m sea swim is in Budleigh Salterton and has been known to be a little rough…
Depending on the conditions, the course will likely be 3 laps. The start is a short walk from transition and there will be a place for you to leave your shoes.
The water temperature is likely to be between 16-18 degrees.
Where does the race start?
Lime Kiln Car park at Budleigh Salterton (EX9 6JD) Buses leave from the campsite swim start at aprox 0500
The bike
The 112 mile bike course goes from Budleigh Salterton and ends in Swanage. It has over 8,000 ft in climb and you will definitely know this when you hit the run course.
There are 3 aid stations along the way and you will be given the GPX file to assist you with navigation for this course.
All the athletes will be supplied with GPS trackers.
Where does the bike end / run start?
Whitecliff Farm, Swanage (BH19 1RL) Your run kit will be waiting here for you and your bike will be transported back to the campsite in Charmouth and held securely until you have returned after your race. (you must pick up your bike from the campsite when you have finished your race, no matter how late).
The run
After you have racked your bike in Swanage, you head out onto the run course. This is one of the toughest marathons in the UK with over 3,000ft of elevation.
You will follow the coast path signs and also be suppled with the GPX file and a GPS tracker.
There are 3 aid stations and the finish is at Lulworth.
Where does the race end?
Lulworth village hall (BH20 5RQ) You will be transferred back to the campsite after you have finished.

16:00 - 20:00 Registration & campsite open (Cummings Farm in Charmouth - DT6 6BX) You will need to rack your bike, (unless you are taking it yourself to the swim start) and drop off your T2 (run) bag and your FP (finish) bag with some warm clothes etc for the end of your race (you will be given tags to label your bike / bags).

05:00 Buses leave for swim start in Budleigh Salterton (approx 1 hr transfer)
06:00 Collect your timing chip and tracker from T1
06:40 Mandatory race and safety briefing (on seafront, be ready to start your race afterwards)

Where are the aid stations?
There will be 3 aid stations on the bike and run.
What will be available at the aid stations / Finish point?
Yes, there will be Torq nutrition, flapjack, cake, sausage rolls, sandwiches, bananas and jellybabies etc available. There will be soup and bread and the finish point.
Is there camping / carparking available?
You can camp / park on the event field (DT6 6BX). Camping / parking is included for COMPETITORS ONLY for Saturday and Sunday night. Support crew will need to pay (£13 per person per night).
If you would like to stay extra nights either side of the Saturday and Sunday, please call the campsite (http://lymeregiscampsite.co.uk/contact-us/) to book (£13 per person per night).
What happens if I pull out halfway?
Should you be unable to continue with your race at any point, there will be a meat wagon sweeping the bike course. If you cannot finish the run, you need to make your way to the closest CP and you will be taken back to the campsite at some point.
The Rules
All cyclists to wear hi-vz vest or jacket at all times on the bike course.
No drafting.
You must wear a cycle helmet.
No MP3 players or similar on the bike course.
No littering.
