Le Petit Depart

Skipton, North Yorkshire

The Bungalow, Gargrave Rd, Skipton BD23 1UD, UK

Sun 5th June 2016

Organiser's Description

An event that celebrates the very best cycling the Yorkshire Dales has to offer and, of course, one of the biggest events in the World sporting calendar. The 38 mile leisure ride follows the 2014 Grand Depart route into the Upper Wharfedale valley and the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, returning via Bolton Abbey. The 80 mile route takes you over 3 climbs and along 6 dales. From the head of Wharfedale it goes over Kidstones, the first official climb of the 2014 Tour, and continues along the Stage 1 route, returning to Skipton via the Ribblehead viaduct, the quaint market town of Settle and the lovely Malhamdale.
