Montane Trail 26 & 13 Grizedale Forest

Grizedale Forest, Cumbria

LA22 0QJ

Sun 4th February 2018

Organiser's Description

The first of the 2018 Trail 26 events will take place from Grizedale Forest Visitor’s Centre, situated close to Hawkeshead and nestled between Coniston Water and Lake Windermere - the perfect venue to kick off your trail running year. Two distances - half and full marathon - which both follow well packed fire roads and moorland, hilly but good underfoot, making it a quick route. The marathon then takes you on to the other side of the Forest, towards Windermere, where it is much more technical with rocky descents and muddy fields to zap the strength from your legs, and a few more hills thrown in.
