Off The Beaten Track - Pembrokeshire

Date & Location

Bluestone National Park Resort, Pembrokeshire

Organiser’s Description

Highways, bridleways, footpaths... 40 miles, 2800ft of climbing, ever changing terrain. It’s not just elevation that can sap the strength of a cyclist, but also the surface beneath their wheels and Pembrokeshire is blessed with a great variety of road surfaces in its hundreds of miles of back roads. Add to this the myriad of inter-linking bridleways and you’ve got the recipe for a serious on-off road sportive for tough bikes, and even tougher riders. The route winds its way along closed roads, loose surfaces, scrambles up valley sides, through the breath-taking Pembrokeshire Coast National Park to Llys y Fran and an undulating circuit of the reservoir, with a few steep switchback climbs thrown in for good measure.
