Relativity Run

Date & Location

Westbrook, Kent

Organiser’s Description

For the science geeks, in 2016 it will be 100 years since Albert Einstein published the final version of his theory on general relativity. So we're going to use a relatively boring course, that may well feel like it stretches to infinity, around the Kent Coast near Margate ("that dreadful sea wall that's always into the wind"). You'll be wishing you could run at the speed of light, and you'll discover how gravity affects runners legs, going both up the slope at the end of each lap in a negative way and in a positive way on the way down! But really we're just looking for an excuse to produce some fantastic one-off bling to mark the occasion!
