Ride 24 - Newcastle to London

Newcastle

King George VI Building, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4LF, UK

Sat 20th August 2016

Organiser's Description

Central London is the target and it's 310 miles away! 1,000 riders set out from 'The Toon', past the onlooking Angel of the North and on to the Yorkshire Hills to warm up the legs. Through York and down to cross the Humber, then on to Lincoln and the flat lands beyond. The sun dips - night time arrives as we pass remote villages and speed through the quiet English countryside. As dawn arrives the start line is just a distant memory; the Capital's sykline is in our sights and the finish line approaches. Tic toc - you can achieve a lot in 24 hours! Make your ride really count in 2016 and fundraise for our charity partner Macmillan Cancer Support.
