Saint Cuthbert's Way Ultra

Date & Location

Holy Island, Northumberland

Organiser’s Description

Bridging the borders between Scotland and England, this 100k route will start at Holy Island, in an AONB. It will head Westwards, crossing large sections of the Northumberland National Park and the beautiful Scottish Borders region, finishing at Melrose, which is where Saint Cuthbert's journey is actually thought to have started. The route is very runnable on a mixture of well packed trails and some minor roads. Also a 40(ish) mile option starting at Wooler. This misses the run from Holy Island, but none of the stunning scenery as you pass through Northumberland National Park into the Scottish Borders.
