Saxon Shore Marathon (short loop)

Walmer, Kent

28 Kingsdown Rd, Walmer, Deal CT14 7LH, UK

Sat 26th November 2016

Organiser's Description

A jaunt along the Saxon Shore Way, where it winds its way up the coast from Deal to Sandwich. The course is very flat, with just a few small undulations, the surface is very good, at least by trail marathon standards, and even the most navigationally challenged will be able to get around the course without getting lost! For 2016 we're going to have two variations. On Saturday we'll use a short loop course of 5 x 5.25 miles between Walmer Castle and Sandown Castle; on Sunday we'll use a new variant of 2x13.1 mile loops, which encompass both the short loop and the original Saxon Shore route, plus a bit of an extension past Walmer Castle towards Kingsdown.
