Organiser's Description
An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty provides the back-drop to this event, and Little Switzerland (Church Stretton) provides the gateway to our Killer Mile climb. Featuring 89 mile and 50 mile routes, which both ascend the phenomenal, fully closed climb of the Long Mynd (previously used on the National Hill Championships). The shorter route then heads South, whilst the longer route sets up the challenges of Stiperstones, a double ascent (long and gentle then short and steep) of Long Mountain, before heading South to take in the climb up Kerry Hill, followed by a 20 mile descent to release the leg muscles! Based at Ludlow Racecourse, the event makes the most of this hidden gem of a county.
