SwimRun UK - The Broads

Hickling Broad Sailing Club, Norfolk

Staithe Rd, Norwich NR12 0YJ, UK

Sat 23rd July 2016

Organiser's Description

Swim Run UK is the newest endurance sport for bored triathletes. Inspired by Sweden’s iconic ÖTILLÖ, you swim a wee bit, then run a big bit, then swim, then run etc etc. Our desired route is still getting final clearance from the powers that be. We have an alternative route, but it's a bit more difficult to navigate... but equally as stunning. Both routes use Hickling Broad, Heigham Sound, River Thurne and the Weavers Way, it's just a question of whether we take you South and East or North and West from Thurne. Much of the route is below sea level. The hilliest section of the route will be in the water if it's windy. In Norfolk, it's always windy.
