Organiser's Description

Escape chlorinated captivity, let the sky be your roof and the horizon your view! Enjoy the freedom of open water swimming. Starting at Chalkwell Beach, Southend-on-Sea, and finishing at Jubilee Beach, this unique event takes swimmers on a 3.3k swim, directly through the structure of the longest pier in the World. For junior swimmers there's the Seal Swim, a non-competitive swim open to 8 -14 year-olds of approx 120m.
