Organiser's Description
The second year of this event includes a full trail marathon distance, as well as the 10k and half marathon that take place across the stunning Darwen Moors in Lancashire. Starting in Sunnyhurst Woods, the trail soon takes you up a quad busting ascent as you head to the moors, leaving Sunnyhurst behind. You will run across the tops, climbing several ascents to take in the panoramic 360 degree views. The route will take you eventually over to Darwen Moors' most prominent point - Darwen Tower - before heading back down into Sunnyhurst Woods. And don't dash straight off after your race, because we have hot food to warm your cockles and a bar! This race will be without a doubt one to remember in 2017... It certainly was in 2016!!
