Ullswater Trail Race & Challenge

Glenridding, Cumbria

Beech House, Glenridding, Penrith CA11 0PA, UK

Sun 15th October 2017

Organiser's Description

Starting from the Ullswater Pier at Glenridding, your journey starts with a beautiful half hour cruise aboard an Ullswater steamer which takes you to the start in the hamlet of Howtown. The 10k Trail Run, 14k Trail Race and 14k Trail Challenge follow footpaths and bridleways along the lake shore, giving panoramic views of Helvellyn and the surrounding peaks, finishing in Jenkins Field, next to the Ullswater Pier. Much of the course passes through ancient woodland, which will be at its autumnal best. A carnival atmosphere is guaranteed for both spectators and competitors, with live music, race commentary, food and drink all available at the start and finish. Whether you're new to trail running, or an experienced athlete, an unforgettable day out in the Lake District awaits you! Also Children's Fun Trails.
