Waterway 30, 50 & 100

South Wheatley, Nottinghamshire

Conifers, Sturton Rd, South Wheatley, Retford DN22 9DL, UK

Sat 3rd October 2015

Organiser's Description

The 3 events will start and finish at South Wheatley Village Hall. The routes take in the scenic rural countryside of Nottinghamshire using a combination of the three main local waterway tow paths: The Cuckoo Way (Chesterfield Canal), Trent Valley Way (River Trent), and the tow path running alongside the River Idle. The races will be out and back - exactly how this is done is dependant on the distance chosen. Both the 30 & 50 mile will be one lap of the chosen route. The 100 mile route will be the same as the 50 mile course, but will have an extended and repeat canal section.
