The region of Westfriesland is simply the best Holland has to offer. The landscape is dotted with windmills, and the course exudes the character of the region with historic city centres, dykes and green countryside.
The swim is in the old harbour of Hoorn surrounded by the beautiful scenery of this Dutch city; the bike course leads you from the City to the surrounding countryside - keep an eye out for the typical Dutch windmills; the run is through the historical city centre itself.
