Organiser's Description
This is a small friendly event run over arguably the most spectacular route of any duathlon in Scotland. The event involves 9 miles on foot and 15 miles on bike, with 3,300 feet of ascent and descent. Although a testing race course even for the strongest competitor, it can be done as a 'challenge' by any reasonably fit person, and previous entrants have ranged in age from 11 to 76. The start is a kilometre inland from Applecross Bay.
