Armistice Day Challenge Run

Penistone, Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Organiser's Description

On the 11th November 1918 WW1 came to end and to mark the Centenary of this momentous occasion we're holding an Armistice Day Challenge Run on Remberance Sunday. The course is along an old railway line and is closed to traffic - a gentle out and back from the Community Centre in Penistone, South Yorkshire.

As usual we'll have a well stocked aid station which you'll pass every 6.55 miles, (the loop consists of two parts of 2.2 miles and 4.37 miles so you can pop in after 2.2 miles of the loop if you wish) which will have lots of goodies. There will be a unique custom made medal and a goody bag that actually contains goodies which will make the running worth it!
