Organiser's Description
This is the 2nd year for the Ashbourne Triathlon, which is aimed at all levels of fitness and ability, whether it's your first triathlon or you're the next Olympic hopeful! A pool swim is followed by a bike leg around Derbyshire's country lanes. The route is mostly flat, with just a couple of gentle hills. The out and back run, completed twice, takes you along the Tissington Trail and through the historic Ashbourne Tunnel, which runs under the entire town of Ashbourne and out into the countryside. You'll hear the sound of trains as you run through the tunnel, which may encourage you to go a little quicker!
