Bantham Boomerang

Bantham, Kingsbridge, Devon

Bantham Beach, Bantham, Kingsbridge, Devon, UK

Fri 9th July 2021

Organiser's Description

How far can you swim before the tide turns? The Bantham Boomerang swim is a new swim for 2021: a 7-10km swim on the Aune Estuary in Devon. The Boomerang swim starts at Bantham, in Devon, with swimmers heading upriver on the incoming tide. When the tide turns, so do the swimmers, swimming back downriver with the outgoing tide.

The distance swum will depend on how fast you swim, but all swim speeds are welcome. Swimmers will be set off according to their speed, which you are asked to know by the day.
