Basingstoke Half Marathon & 10k

Basingstoke, Hampshire

Crossborough Hill, Basingstoke RG21 4AG, UK

Sun 4th October 2020

Organiser's Description

The Half Marathon is a mainly rural, scenic and undulating route starting from Basingstoke town centre and going out of town on minor roads through the countryside, returning to the main town park for the finish. Voted in 2012 by Runner's World as one of the top 10 half marathons.

The 10k will run in parallel with the Half and is a traffic-free, out and back course that shares much of its route with the Half, but with less hills - in fact it's a fairly flat and fast course.

Good race, lucky weather. Well organised race, awesome to have Lavazza as a sponsor even. Good, fastish course, good marshalling and the locals were brilliant! Not sure how things would have panned out without the glorious weather though, but we were lucky on this front.
