Blast Running @ Gypsy Brae
Sorry, bookings for this event have been paused due to a certain virus. For more information please read here.
We meet up every Sunday for a 10.30am race start at Gypsy Brae Recreation Ground, which is at the end of Silverknowes Promenade.
There is plenty of free parking, local bus routes are numbers 8, 14, 16 and 27 or cycle down to us and we’ll watch your bike whilst you race!
All our races are chip timed however our spirit is that we are here to support your personal racing goals. Whether you are trying to break 20 minutes or 40 minutes for your 5km the clock only starts timing you when you cross the start line.… can you sneak under your PB?
5 km Standard Individual Entry£7 CLOSED
Races will start promptly at 10.30am at the Gypsy Brae Park (Sundays) and 12.45pm at the Meadows (Tuesdays). During the period of COVID-19 restrictions the race will take place in a time-trial format, with runners starting in 5 second intervals. The published results will show a chip time (which is the actual time you ran the course) and the official time (which is when the stopwatch starts). Your entry form will ask you to give an estimated 5km time and this will allow us to allocate you in the correct time slot to avoid any pinch points along the route.
