Beautiful, exciting and great crowd support. This was my first marathon, and it didn't disappoint - the route was great - there are a few turn-backs, but as the views are mostly of the sea and beach, this isnt a problem. The breeze coming off the sea was lovely, and it was great to have several points where my supporters could stand and even be sitting enjoying refreshments as I ran past! Loved running up the pier - would definitely recommend to friends :)
Great work on your first marathon!
Amazing event. First marathon and an excellent choice. A few loop backs but that means you get more time in front of the crowds. Amazing route along the coast, the piers and through the streets. Excellent recovery bag with the best training T Shirt I've received at the end. Bit bumpy in places but the flats along the coast more than make up for it, surface is like a race track! As already mentioned, very well supported. Would love to return.
