Organiser's Description
BRUTAL's muddiest race was was revamped in 2018 making it even muddier, so expect two more marshes and a pond to conquer, as well as the familiar hills and bogs. Go for a single 5k or double 10k lap of this mud-fest. This is an excellent race for spectators - who are able to see the runners race through the water a number of times within 100m of the event village.

Muddy great fun. If you fancy combining your running with the positive effects of a health spa, then this event is for you. The running part is the easy bit, through the woods on rough paths, but the health spa aspects require some imagination... with the cold water plunge pool being provided by multiple ponds on route, and the mud-pack treatment coming from a variety of bogs (with the "Chocolate Porridge Pot" being a particular waist-deep favourite!) The course is excellent, the organisation slick and the event rewarding. The official photographs are pretty expensive, but the race itself is certainly worth the investment in time and money.
