Organiser's Description

The date of the 21st edition of the Principality Cardiff Half has been announced and will take place on Sunday 6 October in 2024.

More than 27,500 people laced up their trainers and pounded the streets of the Welsh capital to mark the event’s 20th anniversary this year, and it’s anticipated that demand for 2024 will be greater than ever.

Matt Newman, CEO of Run 4 Wales, which organises the event, said: “The atmosphere was electric at this year’s Cardiff Half, thanks to all of our runners, volunteers and spectators, and we’re expecting next year’s event to be even more popular.

Expect a festival of activity and special commemorative finishers items to mark the milestone.

The event is a part of the SuperHalfs which includes races in Prague, Lisbon, Copenhagen and Valencia. Finishing the race will earn you a stamp in your SuperPassport and count towards completing the series.

I loved my first half marathon at the Cardiff Half! The atmosphere was incredible, everyone cheering you on was amazing. I would love to take part again next year!
