Cardiff University / Cardiff Half Marathon

Cardiff

Castle, Cardiff, UK

Sun 6th October 2019

Organiser's Description

Take part in one of the UK's biggest and best road races on an iconic course around Wales' capital city. The event was first run in 2003 and has become Wales’ largest road race, with over 22,000 runners, and also its largest multi-charity fundraising event.

The race starts outside Cardiff Castle and heads down past Cardiff City Stadium on the way to Penarth. It takes in the glorious Penarth Marina before crossing the barrage and heading to, and running right through the heart of, Cardiff Bay. It then heads towards the North of the City, completes a loop of the beautiful Roath Park Lake, before the grandstand finish in the heart of the city at the Civic Centre. Also children's races and family fun runs.

Awesome event. I can’t praise this event enough. Crowds all the way round. A great course- no loops, changing scenery and a great sense of achievement.
