Event Details

In 2017 the Copenhagen Half Marathon was awarded with the IAAF Road Race Gold Label, which is considered the most prestigious quality designation.

The criteria that must be fulfilled in order to become an IAAF Label road race event cover areas such as elite field composition, fencing, safety, race timing, communication and broadcasting, etc.

The CPH Half attracts a strong international elite field. Seeing lots of fast times since the beginning in 2015, the CPH Half has claimed itself as one of the World’s fastest half marathons.

Leading up to the race, a three-day expo is held in Sparta Hallen on Østerbro in Copenhagen, where participants collect their race packet containing their bib number with integrated timing chip, a Nike T-shirt and a baggage bag.

The race is transmitted live by the national broadcasting company on dr.dk and DR TV and live streamed on cphhalf.com from 11:00 am, and on big screens in the start and finish area.

A live transmission recap will be available on cphhalf.com

How To Get There

By car: We strongly advise against arriving by car to the start and finish area, due to the very limited parking options in the area.

If you are obliged to take the car, we recommend parking in the outskirts of Copenhagen and using public transport in from there. Be aware of race day road closures and redirections.

By public transport: We recommend taking the Metro or S-train to the starting area. While some busses are redirected on race day, Metro and S-train are not affected by the race, however, we recommend that you plan your journey beforehand to be sure that public transportation is not affected by construction work or other alterations.

Nearest S-train stations are:

Nordhavn st. (1.8 km) Østerport st. (2.1 km) Svanemøllen st. (1.9 km)

Nearest Metro station is Nørreport st. (2.7 km) from where you can take any northbound S-train stopping at all city stations including Nordhavn, Østerport and Svanemøllen stations. Northbound S-trains also depart from Copenhagen Central Station.
