Cransley Hospice Road Races

Organiser's Description

Now in its nineteenth triumphant year, the annual Cransley Hospice Road Races will return to the picturesque village of Cranford, in Northamptonshire, in September.

This year’s event will offer challenging 10k and half marathon distances, along with a ‘Flash Dash’ for the under 8s and a 2.3k Junior Run for those aged 8 – 14.

All adult routes are professionally chip-timed, giving you the opportunity to smash your PB, and there’ll be a fantastic medal and refreshing treats on the finish line for every runner! This event is sponsored by Western Power Distribution.

How To Get There

By car: Cranford Village is on the North side of the A14, which is a major intersection at the southern end of the M6, junction 19 of the M1 in Leicestershire, and the A1 in Cambridgeshire. Please use the postcode NN14 4AL for your Satnav.

By train: The nearest train station is in Kettering, about 8 miles away. Kettering has a half-hourly service to London St. Pancras and hourly services to either Nottingham via Leicester or to Corby. During peak, one Nottingham service is extended to start and finish at Lincoln via Newark and one Corby service goes to and from Melton Mowbray. At the weekend there is one train per day to York, and in the Summer months the York service on a Saturday is extended to and from Scarborough.

Parking

Car parking is free of charge and our event marshals will direct you to a suitable space.

Event Day Information

The event field is located just off Grafton Road in the village of Cranford. Please use the postcode NN14 4AL for your sat-nav.

Registration opens at 9am. Please ensure that you arrive in adequate time to register before the start of the races. Entry will only be available on the day if the event capacity has not been met.

Refreshments, entertainment and toilets will all be available in the event village.

The Junior Run will begin at 10.15am.

The 10k and half marathon distances will commence at 11am.

Refreshments will available in the start/finish area and water stations throughout the route. Sufficient parking, toilets available in the car park close to the start and finish, changing facilities limited.
