Organiser's Description

Run Crete Marathon, starting and finishing in the Municipal Marketplace of Chania, along the North coast of the Island, and enjoy Crete’s most evocative and romantic city, with a beautiful Venetian quarter criss-crossed by narrow lanes, and a magnificent harbour.

The race offers runners the chance to explore a place where different civilizations have flourished throughout the centuries, to run along a beautiful route in one of the oldest cities in Crete, with its rich and tumultuous history. Chania has a rich heritage, with places of significant archaeological importance and innumerable preserved monuments. Coupled with beautiful scenery, this marathon promises to be a thrill for runners, as they race along the flat surfaces and enjoy the breathtaking views. Options for 10k, 5k and 2.5k events.
