Culinary Coastal Canter

Mothecombe, Devon to South Milton Sands

National Trust - South Milton Sands, Thurlestone, Kingsbridge, UK

Sat 1st June 2019

Organiser's Description

Food glorious food! (with a run in-between). The table is finally set for the South Hams Culinary Coastal Canter. The name in itself is a mouthful, the route a smorgasbord of coastal trails, beaches and riverside meanderings. 17 miles in all, starting from the Schoolhouse Restaurant, Mothecombe, Devon.

The start involves a crossing of the mouth of the River Erme. The hardest section of route takes you up and down the South West Coast Path hills to your first aid station at Bigbury-on-Sea. Then a beach run from Bigbury to the Avon Estuary Trail. Finish on the fabulous South Milton beach, then enjoy a bite to eat and a well-earned drink at the Beachhouse Café - the most laid back food haven in the delicious South Hams…
