Very well organised event from a hard working team. This was the first time I'd done the Derby 10 Mile and I thought it was very well organised. The organisers worked so hard to make sure the event went ahead after recent flooding closed parts of the original route. The start was well organised in 9 starting waves which started promptly. The route was well sign posted and the volunteers/marshals were very encouraging. I wasn't a huge fan of the final route as it was basically two long out and backs but I understand that they had no choice than change the original route and they did a great job finding an alternative of the correct length. I'd sign up for this race again and keep my fingers crossed that the original route will be available. At the end each runner got a medal, technical t-shirt (which was great quality), a bottle of water and a small bag of jelly beans.
