Currently in its 22nd year, this Olympic and middle distance triathlon, in the historic City of Chester, is a truly city centre race, with transition and finish in the fabulous, Victorian, Grosvenor Park. An open water river swim is followed by a mostly flat single lap bike route (2 laps for the middle distance) into Wales via Eccleston, Rossett and Borras, and back into Chester via Alford and Boughton. The run route incorporates the Old Dee Bridge as well as the suspension bridge, with the finish being at the Bandstand in Grosvenor Park.
