Organiser's Description
The Eastbourne Half Marathon, now in its 16th year, is planned to be even bigger and better than previous years. Following the huge success of 2019 we are hoping to attract over 2000 entrants. This is very much a community event and is aimed at runners of all abilities. New for this year we have more bands and entertainment along the route offering encouragement, and we will have 'pacers' to help you achieve your set goal or PB. The race is mainly flat with a hilly section at 2 - 3 miles. It is a loop race, which starts and finishes in Princes Park, taking runners along the Eastbourne coast.

A windy PB. I’ve done this run the last two years and have had a blast. Such a friendly crowd of runners and support team. Both occasions we’ve had huge tail winds up towards the harbour end which gave me a huge PB for my 1,5,10 & 21k marks!!! Great scenery all the way around, horrible hill at mile 3!

Friendly and well organised in v windy conditions. Despite Storm Freya whistling along the prom, the race went ahead without a hitch. The weather didn't seem to deter too many spectators so a cheerful atmosphere along the course. That long uphill stretch around 2-3 miles is a killer....
