Endure24 (North)

Bramham Park, Leeds, West Yorkshire

Wetherby LS23 6ND, UK

Sat 4th July 2020

Organiser's Description

Endure24 (North) is a 24hour solo or team relay race, run over a 5 mile trail loop on the Bramham Park country estate. Virtually anyone of any standard can take part. There is no pressure to run any further than you want, and because it’s a loop, you are never at the back!

Having said that, most people end up running further than they ever thought possible. The routes are stunning and the support is incredible. Take it as seriously as you want to, or not. Whether you are running solo, or looking for the team win, you can be sure it will live up to its 'Epic, Brutal, Relentless' strapline.

Event Further Details

You can enter Endure24 as a solo runner or as a member of a team (links are above).

To run Solo you must be 20 years old, to run as a team member you must be 18 years old, anyone under 20 years old must not exceed 5 laps.

Teams can be made up of between 2 and 12 runners. They can be mixed (at least one runner of the opposite gender) or all male or female.

There is no pressure to run any further than you want to, walking is perfectly normal at Endure24 and because it’s a loop you are never at the back!

Having said that, most people end up running further than they ever thought possible. The routes are stunning and the support is incredible, just ask anyone who has run at Endure24 and they will tell how inclusive it is. Also, unusually for a running event, we have a 50/50 gender split.

Just get a team together and take it as seriously as you want to, or not.

Of course there are people who take it very seriously at the front end. If you are running solo or looking for the team win you can be sure it will live up to its Epic, Brutal, Relentless strapline.

Solo Runners

To run Solo you must be 20 years old.

Endure24 is run over 5 mile (8K) loops making it very easy for solo runners to keep track of their distance. The holy grail is 20 laps or 100 miles which makes you a member of the Endure24 100 Mile Club.

Solo runners can have support crew to look after them, feed them and provide backup. Support crew must not run or pace their solo runner.

Team Runners

To run as a team member you must be 18 years old - anyone under 20 years old must not exceed 5 laps.

Teams can be made up of between 2 and 12 runners. They can be mixed (at least one runner of the opposite gender) or all male or female.

You can enter a team of any size, once you have entered a team you can always add more runners by using the add an additional runner link. This stops one month before race day but can be done at the registration desk on race day. These runners will be added to your team manually and the team size/gender mix amended for you. You can see the updated teams further down this page.

The person entering the team (the Team Captain) will receive a confirmation e-mail. The e-mail will have a password attached. They can then login to edit the team details at any point until we close the database around a month before race day. Note – Additional runners do not show in your entry system login.

Team Sizes – 2 runners are a Pair, 3-5 runners are a small team, 6 – 8 runners are a large team, 9 -12 runners are an XXL Fun Team. We award awards to the first three teams, male, female & mixed in each category other than XXL Fun which is just that a fun category.

Event Schedule

The Endure24 car park and camping areas open at 7.00am in 2020 a little earlier than usual. Registration (pack pick up) and the race village (catering and entertainment ) open at 10.00am.

Friday is a day to get organised, walk the route, talk tactics, catch up with old friends, chill out with some yoga, watch (or join in) the kids race and try not to overdo it at the Friday night party.

On Friday the race village, entertainment, bars and catering close at 11.00pm, we re-open at 7.00am on Saturday morning and then we stay open until around 2.00pm Sunday afternoon. Massage and retail will be open throughout the weekend but retail will close overnight Friday and Saturday.

Camping

There are a few rules to follow when laying out your camping area (see the camping guide). We know teams like to be together so it’s fine to hold some space for later arrivals but, please be sensible and only take the space needed. We suggest you layout the tents in the area they will be put up so you can see the space required rather than taping off large areas.

Please don’t take recreational space, there is only room for tents not volleyball courts or badminton nets! Open fires, ground BBQs and generators are not permitted.

Camper vans have their own area, other members of your team may camp with you but once parked camper vans must chock and not move or run their engins until 1.00pm on Sunday. Cars and vans are not permitted in the camper van area.

Extra Stuff

Wether it’s yoga, glamping or shower tickets you will find them at the Endure Store.

NOTE: Shower and flushing toilet charges for 2020: Camping, parking and portable toilets remain free for friends, family and support crew but there is a small charge for access to the flushing toilets and showers for non-runners (there are now more non-runners than runners at Endure which puts huge pressure on these facilities, the charge is to cover the upgraded facilities). Runners will receive wrist bands at registration. Extra wristbands can be purchased at the store or at registration for non-runners. Wristbands are checked at the welfare area access point. The cost is £7 for Children & £12.50 for adults.
