Organiser's Description
Wareham Forest has a lot to offer for runners, walkers, and cyclists. We often run there as it offers long and short trail routes, that aren't too hilly so can get a nice pace going. This 10k follows the well-known Sika Trail. This is a signposted trail route known for runners and cyclists. It's scenic, can be fast, and nice and open in the forest. We love this run and hope you do too! You may even see a deer or two.
Course details:
Distance: 10km
Elevation: Majority flat, with a couple of hills
Terrain: Gravel walk paths. Trail shoes be best, road shoes also be fine.

Course Details
The Sika Trail in Wareham Forest is a well known trail route. The paths are well trodden as there are often runners, cyclists, and walkers there every day. This can be a fast trail 10k, as the forest is quite flat. There are a couple of hills, but the majority is nice and flat and not technical for the feet. You could easily wear road shoes on this trail run as it is mostly gravel path, however we do love a trail shoe and if you want most grip, go for trail.
