Glastonbury Road Races - Round the Tor 10k

Glastonbury, Somerset

Glastonbury, Somerset

Sun 5th May 2019

Organiser's Description

The Glastonbury Road Run, with its main event the Round the Tor 10k, takes place on the Sunday prior to the early May bank holiday each year, on fully traffic-free roads. The 10k race, one of the largest road race events in the county of Somerset, and its largest 10k race, is held on a mainly rural course that undulates around the ancient and mysterious Isle of Avalon, starting and finishing within a stone's throw of the alleged burial place of King Arthur within the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey.

There are also popular 5k and 3k events for the faint of heart, and a junior schools' mile fun run. Chip timing and a high quality technical T-shirt for pre-entrants

Intimidating youths. Challenging course. But when groups of youths show off and intimidate runners especially female runners I draw the line!!!! Plus nearly 8 hours later and NO RESULTS OR PICTURES UP!!! POORLY ORGANISED
