Staines, Middlesex
TW18 4TG Bridge Street, Staines, United KingdomFri 3rd June 2022
Starting at 06:00
Organiser's Description
Join us for our very special celebration of Queen Elizabeth II's incredible reign of 70 years! What else would be better than using the extra bank holiday for running and on our course that runs right past her statue.
The medal is awesome for this event and we expect it will sell out. We will have all sorts of bunting and our aid table will look like a street party! We are excited by this run so come join in the fun with us.
We welcome runners of all abilities and you are allowed to run or walk the course.
Distance & Time: Start times from 6:00am through to 9:30am - you can choose when to start, but for the full 15 hour time limit to complete 50 miles you will need to start at 6:30am.
This is a 50 mile event, however if during the event you decide to drop down your distance, you will be able to automatically be added to our Late Timed Event.
The course starts at Thames Side Brewery and we will have two 5 mile courses open for you. The Staines course AND the Runnymede course both start and finish at the Brewery. The Runnymede side will go past the statue of The Queen perfect for this event. It means you only have to complete each course 5 times to finish your 50 mile run.
Course: The course is along a beautiful stretch of the River Thames. It is fully signed so no navigational experience is required.
Medals: As long as you complete one lap, you will be an official finisher and you will receive our fantastic medal.
Mini-Me Pins: Our "mini-me medal pins" are available for all our 50 mile runners.
Distance Pins: We have produced a special 50 mile pin to attach to your medal ribbon.
Goody Bag: Absolutely! You have earned these replacement calories after all, so all our finishers get a great goody bag. You will have a selection of goodies to choose from. As well as our standard goody bag, we have a vegan goody bag too. Please remember to let us know if you are vegan or if you prefer a vegan goody bag when you enter and we can have this ready for you.
Aid Table: We have managed to maintain our aid table throughout the pandemic with our COVID secure policies, approved by various SAG and Public Health teams across the UK. We have now returned to our full aid table selection, however we will serve you rather than a return to help yourself. You can rely on a great selection of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan selections at the aid table - great if you are running long distances.
Special Event: If our event is a special event for you, for instance your 50th, 99th, 100th, 150th, 200th, 250th etc. marathon or half marathon then please let us know. We will provide you with a great number with your name and the event date on it. Also, if it is your birthday, again let us know and we will get you a special number for your birthday!
Toilet & Changing Facilities: Toilets are available at the start / finish area inside the venue HQ. There are changing facilities inside the venue.
Parking: There is a large public car park available for you to use. It has a Parking Eye set up, so please ensure you remember to pay when you leave.
Other Info: There will be an area for kit bags to be left. This area is not watched and any bags left will be at the runner's own risk. Baggage areas are subject to COVID rule changes.
Chip Timing: Yes - we will be operating a chip timing system at this event.
