Havering Mind Half Marathon

Organiser's Description

The first half marathon to take place in Havering in almost 25 years! The route exits Harrow Lodge Park onto Hornchurch Road and Abbs Cross Lane where it continues into Hornchurch Country Park. Exiting the Park into Berwick Pond Road, it continues through the Upminster lanes, taking in Hornchurch Stadium and the Ingrebourne Valley, before returning to finish in Harrow Lodge Park.

Organised by local mental health charity Havering Mind, all money raised through entry will contribute to their efforts to support local people in the community who may be experiencing difficulty with their mental wellbeing.

What's Included

Bag Drop: Whilst we recommend bringing as little as possible, you can leave your belongings with us at the Event village. The bag drop will be attended at all times by our volunteers. Items are left at your own risk.

Chip-timed

All finishers will receive a medal on completing the race

Prizes will be awarded to the top three runners overall for both males and females.

Water stations are provided at regular intervals across the route and will be manned by volunteers.

How To Get There

Further information on getting to the race will be communicated to participants closer to the event.

Course Details

Marshals will be present on the course throughout the race.

The route will be clearly indicated with arrows, tape and mile markers where necessary.

This race is not suitable for runners with buggies/pushchairs.

This race is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Event Information

Registration: From 08:00 to 09:15.

Race Numbers: For collection at registration on the day only, numbers will not be posted. To be fastened to the front of your top using safety pins provided at registration, your number should be visible at all times. Your timing chip is attached to the back of your number and should not be removed.

Entry on the day will not be available at this race.

Great Half Marathon. Tough course in places, but had a bit of everything (flat roads, park course and around the streets) Well organised Great crowd all through the course which was most appreciated at times. Look forward to next years
