Henley Triathlon

Organiser's Description
Conveniently situated just outside the picturesque town of Henley, on the edge of the Chiltern Hills and the banks of the River Thames, this Triathlon is in its eighth year and takes place at Henley Leisure Centre and Gillotts School.
Boasting a spectator friendly course the Henley Triathlon is one not to be missed. Leisure centre pool swim; the cycle course is flattish with a few undulations – a rural route through the Oxfordshire countryside; traffic free grass run. Two distance options, plus relay. Finisher's medal for every entrant. Chip Timed. Make a weekend of it and enter the kids in the Kids Fun Triathlon the day before.

Great event but.... I really enjoyed this event back in my home town. It’s very well organised with clear direction and instructions. The pool swim is like most others, the ride although has a couple of hills is good and fast, the run is on grass so if your used to this you’ll be fine. However for me I like the bling and goodie bag, while you do get a couple of energy gels, there’s no chocolate/sweets or t shirt, also the medal is generic with the event details on the ribbon - this is just me being hyper fussy as I do like these little details and it’s not a cheap entry. Still it is a great event as said and I’d thoroughly recommend it if you want to add a new one to your achievements.
