Event Details
This is a mass-start event. All finishing positions will be calculated based on gun time for your wave and not chip time. This is a children's triathlon, however it is still a non-draft legal race. To be entered for the Eastern Region Junior Race Series standings, athletes must be a resident within the Eastern Region or be a current member of an Eastern Region Triathlon Club and be a British Triathlon Home Nation Junior member.
Race start times will be announced closer to the event, but expect them to be in the afternoon of 18 August.
Registration packs will NOT be posted out in advance of the race. Registration packs can be collected on race day from 11am at race HQ.
All competitors must comply with BTF rules - including being licensed to race.
Non-BTF members are required to pay £3 in cash on race day for a day license. BTF Members who cannot produce a valid BTF race license are required to pay for a day license.
Course Details
The swim is held in Stanborough Lake. A duathlon race option will be available for all Tristart duathletes if they decide they don't want to participate in the open water swim.
The bike course is entirely on grass and we strongly recommend against the use of slick road bike tyres in case it is wet and slippy on the day. The Triathlon Trust will have Cuda Performance bikes and helmets to hire for the event at a cost of £20. Please email [email protected] if you would like to hire one, stating your child's approximate height.
The run course is entirely on grass and is progressively more undulating for each age group race.
