Organiser's Description
Les Sables d'Olonne, translated as "the sands of Olonne", is a seaside town on the western French coast, the Côte de Lumière. The region features a stunning array of landscapes, from picturesque beaches and jagged coastlines to pine forests and wetlands.
Athletes will start their day at the Promenade Clémenceau for a swim in the historic Vendée Globe canal, before leaving the Vendée Globe Plaza and setting off towards the Olonne forest on the bike leg. The run starts on the famous promenade des Sables d’Olonne; athletes will run on the promenade along the Tanchet Lake and cross the finish line in the centre of town.
