Organiser's Description
The West coast of Norway, one of the most beautiful parts of the country, now hosts a full-distance race. Raw and wild nature, complete with fjords and mountains, provide the best backdrop for an IRONMAN race venue, and it has delighted athletes for years. The city of Haugesund eats, drinks, and breathes triathlon. Here, the Viking spirit embraces IRONMAN and its competitors. The swim is calm, with lane ropes guiding the way. The bike course is a loop featuring turns and rolling hills and is one of the most beautiful bike courses in long-course triathlon. The run takes athletes through the City centre on four out-and-back loops. This is sure to become one of the iconic IRONMAN races.
