*POSTPONED* - Jurassic Beast

Bovington, Dorset

National Tank Museum, Bovington, Dorset, BH20 6JG

Sat 16th May 2020

Organiser's Description

*POSTPONED*

With a mixture of spectacular views, leg-pumping climbs and historical scenery, the Jurassic Beast has become a ‘must do’ ride for many cyclists, and one of the most popular events in our sportive calendar.

Starting out at the National Tank Museum in Bovington, the route heads North and up through a series of unspoilt Dorset villages, skirting around the base of menacing-looking hills, throwing in a short and sharp climb every now and again. Pushing on South through Dorset, you’ll ride through the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and tackle another series of short and steep climbs.

Soon enough, it’s time to head towards the coast and take in the terrific views of Corfe Castle, Lulworth Cove and Poole Harbour that this sportive is renowned for. Views stretch out towards the Isle of Wight and compensate for the up-and-down nature of the final few miles. 70 and 43 mile rides.
