Kendal Castle Aquathlon

Kendal, Cumbria

Kendal Leisure Centre, Burton Road, Kendal, Cumbria

Sat 9th February 2019

Organiser's Description

Kendal 'Castle' Aquathlon is a great way to start the season; it can be entered as a solo (you swim then run) or as a relay (one person swims and then hands over to a runn, whichever way you want to do it, we make it our mission to make this a relaxed, friendly event.

A 400m pool swim is followed by a 5k off-road run using the route of the old canal for a short distance, then onto woodland trails and the grassy slopes up to (and around) the Castle ruins, before returning to the centre for a warming brew..... Remember that this is a 'dusk' event, and there's a good chance much of the run will be in low light or darkness, so a head torch is mandatory.

Distances

400m pool swim, 5 km off road run
