The race starts with a gentle uphill which leads into a fast downhill over quite rough and uneven ground. There are some flat bits, but the course is undulating in the main. At mile 7-8 a quite steep hill leads up through the woods, followed by a run through a rough field. At mile 9 the course flattens out and there's a final half mile downhill run to the finish.
